Arteconfort reinforces its commitment to the implementation of ISO standards

The Spanish company goes one step further in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Arteconfort, Spanish company of household goods, has implemented 4 new certificates within the ISO standards (International Organization for Standardization, translated into Spanish) for the performance of its tasks within the “Design and marketing of home technology and decoration“, after passing the corresponding audits in a positive way.

The following standards have been implemented: ISO 9001:2015 – Quality management systems, ISO 50001:2018 – Energy management systems, ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental management systems and ISO, 45001:2018 – Occupational health and safety management systems.

The approval and commitment to apply and guarantee ISO standards, demonstrating that the company’s standards are properly established, has enabled it to obtain several of the most important and necessary certifications within its sector, positioning itself as a reliable and powerful company.

Relevance of ISO standards in companies

The corporate implementation of the aforementioned ISO standards will allow the company specialising in the development and manufacture of household products to implement more ambitious and competitive strategies. Obtaining these certificates is not only a step forward for Arteconfort, but also for its employees and for society.

The ISOs obtained by Arteconfort Hotel, S.L. cover the following areas:

ISO 9001:2015 - Quality management systems

This is the most widely implemented ISO quality standard in the global business world. It not only guarantees the quality of the services or products offered by the company, but also the production process.

The aim of this ISO standard is to ensure that the company achieves customer satisfaction through improvement processes. Therefore, a company that has obtained this certificate means that it really meets quality standards.

ISO 50001:2018 - Energy management systems

This standard establishes a framework for developing and implementing the energy policy of each company, as well as managing the products, services or activities that use energy, according to the objectives set by the organisation.

The aim of this standard is for any company that receives the certificate to be able to demonstrate that it works to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, optimises its resources from an energy perspective and promotes the good energy management practices set out by the organisation, among other objectives.

ISO 14001:2015 - Environmental management systems

The priority of this standard is to identify and manage potential environmental risks that may be generated by the company. Its implementation positions the company as socially responsible, as it demonstrates that it is capable of optimising the management of resources and waste, managing to reduce the negative environmental impact produced by its activity.

Achieving this ISO means that the organisation differentiates itself positively from the competition, demonstrating its real commitment to the environment and, therefore, improving its image in the eyes of consumers.

ISO 45001:2018 - Occupational safety and health management systems

Like the previous ones, this standard is essential, as it establishes a framework for managing the safety and health of workers. It also provides the necessary requirements for establishing an appropriate occupational health and safety management system to protect people against potential occupational hazards.

Recognition of ISO standards

All these certifications are recognised under the following quality seals:

  • SGS.
  • National Accreditation Body (ENAC).
  • International Accreditation Forum (IAF).

In this context, Arteconfort continues to demonstrate its commitment to its employees, society and the environment. “Each member of our company takes on his or her mission as his or her own with the aim of ensuring the promise of quality in our products,” says Javier Zorrilla, Arteconfort’s general manager.

What are ISO standards?

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the International Organization for Standardization, an independent non-governmental body, whose task is to promote the development of international standards for commerce, manufacturing and communication with the aim of ensuring the quality, safety and efficiency of services and products. These are the ISO standards.

These standards help to make the development, production and supply of goods and services more efficient, safe and transparent. They also respond to a need in the market and are based on expert opinion.
