How to mount your BORA ceiling fan
How to install a ceiling fan step by step
Assembly guideSurely you know the benefits and advantages of having a ceiling fan at home compared to other air conditioning systems. It allows you to cool your room in summer without suffering discomfort, dry throat and eyes, or even colds. At the same time it has a lower consumption (approximately 98% less if we compare an air conditioning unit with a DC motor fan), it is more respectful with the environment and it is quieter, allowing you to use it while you sleep improving the quality of your rest without interrupting it.
If you still like to use air conditioning, having a ceiling fan in conjunction with the air conditioner allows you to lower the performance of the air conditioner. The fan will distribute the air (cool in summer and warm in winter) around the room, making it work less and increasing the lifetime of the air conditioner.
When it comes to installing our ceiling fan, some doubts may arise. Arteconfort ceiling fans are easier to install and below we explain step by step how to install our BORA model with DC motor.

Always have the BORA fan instruction manual at hand, if you need it in PDF format you can download it here.

Where to place our ceiling fan
Before assemblyThere are a few things to keep in mind before you start assembling the fan. First and foremost, you must follow all the precautions and safety measures in the instruction manual. This seems obvious, but it is what you must do if you want your fan to work properly.
Next, choose well the location where you will place your fan, as the characteristics of the room will be a crucial factor to ensure the performance and efficiency of the device. Take into account the recommendations below to allow for proper airflow:
- Allow a vertical safety distance of 2.5m from the fan to the floor.
- Allow a horizontal distance of 50cm or more from the blades to the wall or any nearby object.
- The ceiling on which it is to be installed must be firm, without cracks or any damage, and able to support the weight of the fan in operation.
- Check that the fan is suitable for the size of the room where you want to install it.
Fitting the fan blades
First stepAs we have already mentioned, Arteconfort fans are easier to install. When you take it out of the packaging, identify the different parts of the fan and you will see that the body comes pre-assembled. This saves you having to assemble the trims, the stem, the mocker and the LED module.

The first thing you will need to mount is the blades. To do this, locate the cover that you will find on the fan body. Unscrew one of the screws on the cover and loosen the other one to open it. This opening is the one that will allow access to the blade threads.

Then, choose the colour of the blade you want (wood or silver) and insert the first blade into the fan body. Turn the blade until you can access the screw threads through the cover that you have previously opened. Using a screwdriver with a magnetic tip, screw in the 3 screws to fix the fan blade (place the screws in an orderly fashion and tighten them evenly until they are all fixed).

Once you have fitted this first blade, repeat the process with all the remaining blades. When you have all the blades in place, close and screw the cover back on with the screws.
*Remember to unpack and handle components carefully so that they are not scratched or damaged during assembly.
Step 3: Install the LED

Screw the plate with the LED module to the fan body and connect the different wires of both parts using the quick release terminal block.
Step 4: Ceiling attachment

First of all, make sure that the electrical power is disconnected at the mains to be on the safe side during the installation process.
Now, present the ceiling bracket at the place where you are going to place the fan and mark the points where you are going to drill. To do this, you should use the screws and plugs provided in the packaging in the case of a masonry ceiling, or use another type of fastening for other types of ceilings. Next, screw the bracket to the ceiling, making sure that it is well fixed.
Step 5: Hanging the fan

Insert the weatherstrip into the hole in the roof attachment. Observe that the ceiling bracket has a notch on one side and the ceiling bracket has a tooth. In this part it is very important that, once you have the fan hanging from the ceiling bracket, turn it until you notice that the tooth of the ceiling bracket enters the notch of the ceiling bracket. This way, the fan will be perfectly fixed.
Once you have the fan attached to the ceiling, connect the wires hanging from the ceiling to the terminal block: normally brown is phase, blue is neutral and yellow and green are earth.
Step 6: Fix the controller

Insert the fan controller into the hole left in the ceiling bracket, with the flat part of the controller sticking to the ceiling. Check the connections on the controller and connect the cable with the quick release clamp coming out of the ceiling fixing.
Then connect the wires from the fan to the corresponding plug and connect the two earth wires together.
Seventh step: Fitting the trim
In this step, place the trim that covers the ceiling bracket. To do this, note that the bracket has two screws on each side that will be screwed into the holes in the trim. Remove the screw on each side that will be screwed into the hole in the trim and loosen the screw on each side that will pass through the guide of the trim.
Then pull the trim up to cover the ceiling attachment, matching the holes with the screws. Fix the screws and check that the trim is correctly positioned.
Step 8: Fitting the lampshade

Place the glass or plastic lampshade covering the LED module so that it is securely fastened. It is not very difficult but you have to be careful when screwing it in case it falls on the floor.
Your ceiling fan is now installed! Restore the power and enjoy your silent ceiling fan with LED light and remote control.
